Co-produced by Quincy Jones the curtain opens for an acoustic concert by Sting, followed by Bootsy Collins, The progressive Rock with the legendary Moody Blues and Toto.  Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Jean-Luc Ponty, Blues represented by BBKing, Champion jack Dupree, Allen Toussaint and his band, Robert Cray Band & The Memphis Horns, John Hammond and brazil by Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa and Gilberto Gill. An interesting evening with the Don Grolnick Band including Joe Henderson, Randy Brecker, Eddie Gomez and Victor Lewis and the Charlie Haden's Liberation Music Orchestra the same evening. And it’s not over …. Andy Summers (ex Police) with Bill Evans (sax), Mitchell Forman, Darryl Jones (ex Miles Davis) and Chad Wackerman (Frank Zappa) !
July 15, another amazing evening with Herbie Hancock/Wayne Shorter/Stanley Clarke/Omar Hakim (sorry for the little cast !). Rachelle Ferrel and Dianne Reeves complete this evening. A surprise event with Ray Charles and his friends. Funk music with George Clintons and his friends including George Benson and the Count Basie Orchestra, Toots Thielemans etc. Anita Baker and David Sanborn are here for a Elektra evening But the highlight of this edition is certainly the fantastic concert given to Montreux by Miles Davis with the Gil Evans Orchestra and the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band directed by Quincy Jones himself...
