By the end of 1960, the dynamic director of the Montreux
Tourist Board, Raymond Jaussi, suggested to Claude Nobs to organize one rock concert a month in town.

"Try to offer some entertainment to these people in Montreux. It's so boring". And Claude Nobs contacted Pink Floyd, Chicago, It’s a Beautiful Day, Yes, Santana, Led Zeppelin … and Montreux suddenly became the Mecqua of rock and pop music in the whole of Switzerland.

This was the birth of the Super Pop Montreux label.  

The bands would not perform in Zurich anymore. And not anywhere in Switzerland except in Montreux. Because Montreux was the place to perform. Claude would take care of the musicians and the artists in a very personal way. They were invited at his home where they always discovered the latest hi-fi technologies which they loved. He spends much time with them walking around the mountain side, sailing on a boat on the lake or take a ride on one of those mountain trains. This is how, more and more, people say : « Hey let's go to Claude ! »
