Founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs,
the Montreux Jazz Festival has become an indispensable event for music fans over the years, both in Switzerland and abroad. It is therefore very obvious having such an artwork in one of the numerous gardens in town.

It is situated in one of the Fairmont Montreux Palace gardens by the lake side.

Romero  Britto, brasilian artist living in the United States has created this sculpture. Romero is also the one who has designed the 1999 Montreux Jazz Festival poster.

He declared :
