Queenie is a Queen Cover band from Prague.
It all began October 26th 2005, when Michal Kluch, Tomáš Matoušek and Michal Novák met and founded Queenie.
Many different bass guitarists and keyboard players came and went. Actually, the band is playing in this line-up: Michal Kluch (vocals), Tomáš Matoušek (guitar), Michal Novák (drums), Martin Binhack (bass guitar) and Martin Otruba (keys).
May 18th 2006 – was the premiere of this line-up. Queenie played two shows for Czech Conventions, in 2006 and 2007, and both shows were very successful.
The band did another important gig during the “Night Of Legends" by rock Radio Hey. This performance was for a sold-out culture centre Semilasso (in Brno) in front of a huge crowd!
Queenie is constantly working to improve its performances, and it listens to the remarks of its fans.
The band tries to copy the original model by its appearance and, of course, by its music.
Many concerts in Czech Republic and abroad are the result of Queenie’s popularity, and the interest in this band is growing.
