Mike Moran was very much looking forward to being part of our Freddie weekend and had agreed to take a masterclass with two different performers singing a couple of songs. A week before the event I received a phone call from Mike saying he had damaged his back a few weeks ago, but now was not able to get out of bed. He said he would be trying physiotherapy and went to his osteopath to try to get some movement back. Before the weekend he tried everything to ensure his presence, but ultimately to no avail. His doctor did not allow him to travel. As participants are aware we had the great luck of Steve Howe recording near Geneva, who accepted our invitation to be with us.
I spoke to Mike a few days ago and he is feeling a lot better, but is still forbidden to travel by his doctor.
