Freddie Mercury is not the only musician to have chosen the Mountain Studios in Montreux. David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Chris Rea, Yes and Michael Jackson have all stepped into this great recording studio set inside the Casino building.

Due to the renovation of the gambling arena, the studios were unfortunately closed down in the late summer of 2002, and public visits are not possible anymore.

The mythic Mountain Studios, former Queen's property (from 1979 to 1991) is closed for ever but "The Show Must Go On»!!!

David Richards, the soul and spirit of the place and proprietor of the facilities was not able to come to a suitable agreement with the Casino management. David left the place and he is still working in his new, modern studio with the most famous artists and bands from around the world.

For all Freddie fans, David Richards is a person they all hold in very high esteem as he was very close to Freddie mostly during the last part of his life. To meet and talk to him is a privilege for all of them and a way to express their solid faith for the deceased singer.
