Finally - here comes the information about the next, the seventh, Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day!
It will take place on September 5th 2009.
The GOOD NEWS - this year the event is free!
We will have live music by the decorated Freddie's statue, there will be Freddie and Queen related video footage under the covered Market Place, everybody will receive a map of the town, highlighting some relevant places in fabulous, mythic Montreux. Of course Peter Freestone will be available to all to answer any questions you might have!
You are also invited to participate in some events that will be organised - but at a small additional fee.
Allemand :Endlich – hier kommt die Information über den nächsten, den siebten Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day! Er findet am 5. September 2009 statt. Und die gute Nachricht ist – dass er dieses Jahr vollständig gratis ist! Wir organisieren für Euch live-Musik neben Freddies geschmückter Statue, es wird Video-Projektionen über Freddie und Queen geben, und Jeder erhält eine Karte mit Angabe der verschiedenen Orte in Montreux, diesem für alle Fans mythischen Ort, die im Leben Freddies von Bedeutung waren. Und selbstverständlich steht Peter Freestone allen Fans mit seiner legendären Freundlichkeit und Geduld Red und Antwort. Ihr könnt auch an zusätzlichen Events teilnehmen, für welche Ihr vor Ort einen kleinen Betrag bezahlen müsst.

Finalmente è arrivata la notizia riguardo al prossimo, il settimo Freddie Mercury's Montreux Memorial Day, che avrà luogo il 5 settembre 2009.
E la buona notizia è che quest' anno l'evento è totalmente gratuito! Organizziamo per voi musica live vicino alla statua di Freddie, decorata per l'occasione, ci sarà la proiezione di video di Freddie e dei Queen sotto il Mercato Coperto, ciascuno riceverà una mappa della città con l'indicazione dei principali punti di interesse in questo luogo favoloso e mitico per tutti i fan di Freddie.
E, naturalmente, ci sarà Peter Freestone che risponderà con la sua leggendaria cortesia a tutte le domande che avrete!
Potrete partecipare anche ad alcuni avvenimenti organizzati mediante una piccola retribuzione.

Yesterday when I went back to the Hotel I realised how lucky we are that there are still people like you. People who are keeping Freddie alive.
I think you are all very special and I want to thank you for all you have done...for the arrangement of the 7th memorial day and for making a lot of queen fans very happy.
When I went back to the Hotel I cried, I cried the whole evening.....but those were tears of happiness. I enjoyed the memorial day so much and I really love this place. I believe there is magic in the air. Montreux, the place were KlaasJan proposed me after a wonderful evening with Peter and the place where we spent our honeymoon. It couldn't be a better one.

…… pour vous dire que j avais passé un merveilleux week-end parmi vous tous, malheureusement j ai raté l’excursion en bateau,je m en suis voulue terriblement.

Thank you for getting back to me so soon. I am a true Freddie fan and I am excited about next year's festivities. I will await your upcoming email on the 2010. I have seen photos of other Freddie Mercury Montreux Memorial days in the past. Are you the same Norbert that was photographed with Freddie's Mum and his sister Kash in 2006? I think it is great celebrate his life in a Memorial weekend as you do. Please feel free to add me to any lists or send me any info you think I may need. En tout cas, en fan de Queen de longue date j'ai clairement apprécié les concerts, Miracle un peu plus que Dr Queen (mais j'avoue que mon jugement est peut-être biaisé par le fait qu'en général je n'aime pas trop les cover bands qui "caricaturisent" trop le groupe, en copiant aussi les habits, les coupes de cheveux, etc). Dommage uniquement que les deux groupes ne se soient pas mis d'accord pour jouer des morceaux différents, cela aurait enrichi l'intérêt pour les concerts. Pour le reste, magnifique soirée, excellente organisation, très bonne ambiance, bref, je pense que vous pouvez être content du succès! Meilleures salutations,
