Since the very first exhibition called “Montreux Miniature’s Show” of historical figurines, in 2006, the organising committee has been looking for other event organisers in Montreux, in order to find possibilities for collaboration and help. The montreuxmusic–team was spontaneously ready to collaborate on a “Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day” occasion. Who could be the one and only person gathering together people with different passions in the place he adored? One name: Freddie Mercury. Since then, the organising teams for both the Memorial Day and Montreux Miniature’s Show have decided to produce, with all the necessary authorisations, a figurine of the Freddie Mercury statue in Montreux. Is has been created and painted with imagination and a certain talent and is now the object of an auction sale within the two days of the 6th Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day. The figurines are offered by their creators for this auction sale at the 2008 Memorial Day. Size of each figurine is 7 cm (about 2.75 inches) high without the base.  Proceeds is donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust in England fighting aids worldwide. Bid now HERE .
