A great Freddie, and Montreux fan, Olesya Pavlyuk, has donated this remarkable mosaic to montreuxmusic. This is to help keep the Freddie Mercury's Montreux Memorial Day going next year and for the years after that. This unique piece, showing Freddie uniting Europe and Asia at the Bosphorus Bridge, has already been exhibited in Istanbul and was valued at over 3,300 CHF.
After much discussion we decided that it would be a good idea to give a Freddie fan the chance to own this wonderful piece of art. For the first time we will hold a lottery, with tickets costing 25 CHF, so that one lucky fan will be able to take it home with them. Good luck!

Olyesa says :
The price of mosaics usually depends on what kind of tiles was used. Cut or whole, glass or marble, was it copied or designed. When you make your own design it's not easy to make a color transitions. And it's not easy to cut the glass tiles.
There are so many special points that make the price be high or low. For the artwork that I've sent to you (I gave it the name of the last Queen album "Made in Heaven") I've cut almost all of the tiles. It took me two weeks to make the color transitions near the sun. There I've used the stained glass. It's not a painting so you can't just mix some colors for the right one. So I had to find tiles with the colors I need. I've spent around 2 month to make it (Design and work). But I did it with a huge pleasure!
